How We Do It
We offer a truly worldwide solution. Although our business is UK-based, our service is in no way restricted by geographical proximity to our clients. In our business, location really isn't as important as quality. We can adapt our work for various world-English texts such as US-English, Indian-English and Australian-English. We also re-compile translated texts to improve the experience of the reader and increase understanding.
We work with customers directly and also in partnership with various web and other designers, agencies and publishers, many of whom offer our skills as an added in-house service offering to their clients.
For web-based texts, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) proof-reading and/or copywriting is crucial. We write compelling, readable copy whilst including text which search engines will recognise, - pulling your website nearer the top of a search.
When webpage copywriting or proofreading, we often work with a Content Management System (CMS) as required.
Most of our work is done with documents exchanged using e-mail or other online transmissions. Very little paper is used and we employ renewables of all types whenever possible. We therefore consider ourselves to be very eco-friendly. This has become a long-standing, in-built company philosophy and is now so important to us that we have been known to decline work from some larger, resource-hungry organisations that cannot display a robust and operational environmental policy. As part of our remit, we are often asked to help clients create environmental policy documents and we heavily discount this part of our service. We have many clients and business partners who specialise in environmental issues for business.
Note: We provide a totally free service to non-profit organisations whose main activity is carbon-footprint reduction or reducing certain types of human environmental impact. Please ask us if you think that your organisation might qualify.
Despite our environmental concerns, it is inevitable that we must attend meetings with our clients whenever it is deemed necessary. On those occasions public transport is our mode of choice, and carbon off-setting is always employed. Please ask for more details about our environmental policy.
